El Tiempo Perdido

In “El Tiempo Perdido (Lost Time)” I explore the emotional aftermath of my parents' separation and my father's struggle with alcoholism. Through the series of portraits I capture the feeling of losing time during those tough times.

The prolonged periods of separation during my parents’ relationship left me struggling with a deep feeling of being disconnected from my father. It felt like I was seeing a stranger, unable to reconcile this new version of him with the father I once knew. The photographs within this series serve as a visual diary of my journey towards reconnecting with him, of piecing together fragments of our relationship that hadbeen broken by the challenges we faced.

“El Tiempo Perdido (Lost Time)” is an exploration of the loss and rediscovery in a broken relationship—a photographic memoir that allows me to confront and accept the relationship with my father."
